About us
The Community Arts Program in Conrad, MT is a non-profit organization that was established to give the Members of the Conrad and surrounding areas access to the arts, and to provide opportunities for the youth of the community to learn about, and experience art in all of its forms.
We are currently offering beginning dance, theater, and vocal programs. As interest grows, we hope to expand what we can offer to all ages and abilities.
Our main goal is to provide the Conrad, MT area with ample opportunity for those who are interested in the arts.
Board of Directors
Emily Deakin
Founder and Director
-Choir, Theater-
Emily Deakin lives just outside of Conrad with her family of four on their family farm. Emily has been involved in the arts since she was a little girl.
Emily grew up in Hailey, ID. While living there she had the amazing opportunity to be part of a conservatory where she was able to study violin, voice, and theater. Emily participated in choir, art, social dance, orchestra, and theater in High school. She later went to college where she studied vocal performance, was a member of the Utah State University Chamber singers, and participated in various theatrical productions. After moving to Conrad, she had the wonderful opportunity to teach music at Meadowlark Elementary for three years and participates in plays put on by the Pondera Players.
She is excited to start this new journey and to be able to offer all kinds of arts to the community and surrounding areas. She hopes to be able to spread her love of the arts, provide a safe place for the youth, and bring the community together.
Kailee Cherry
Co-Director
-Dance-
Kailee Cherry grew up on a farm outside of the Boise, Idaho area. She has always loved the arts and participated in theater, dance and choir all through high school. She was a member of the Idaho State Honor Choir and has a deep love for the Arts.
It is her hope that all students have the opportunity to enjoy the Arts and grow as a performer. No child should be without opportunities because of their rural lifestyle.
Emily and I would love to share our passion with the Conrad community and neighboring towns.
